I write mainly for a middle grade audience.

In 2019 my short story, Sugar Snap, Broad Bean, Runner Bean was published in the Grindstone Literary Anthology and my middle grade novel WIP, Atlas of the Darkside, was chosen as a reader’s favourite in the #WriteMentor Children’s Novel Award.

Following our success in the Ad Hoc Fiction, illustrator Jon Stubbington and I produced graphic novella, Ink.

I won the 2013 Walker Books/Mumsnet Book of Bedtime Stories competition and my children’s story, The Night Thief and the The Moon, was published by Walker Books in October 2013. The book was named in the top 10 children’s books of 2013 by the Independent.

I am currently working on two MG novels. Head in clouds, pen on paper…

Awards etc.

Mumsnet Book of Bedtime Stories

An ideal present, Book Time / Beautifully produced, this could be a collector’s item, Nick Tucker, The Independent / The Great Christmas `not-to-be-missed’ List, Grazia / A diverse mix of great stories put together in a beautiful, timeless book, Mumsnet Picture Books 2013 / A gorgeous and glossy hardback book… The stories are all unique and provide a full spectrum of interest… A glamorous mixture of humour, innocent and sometimes moralist coupled with indelible images… Exceptional, The School Librarian
